Pearl Harbor Day remembrance

On December 7, 2016 marks the 75th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Each year for the past 12 years, membership of American Legion Field-Allen Post 148 has honored our fallen veterans by placing wreaths on the Veteran’s Memorials in the Town of Windham. This year, at 10 a.m, a wreath was placed on the Veterans Memorial in the Veterans Memorial Garden, Windham Veterans Center as well as one on the newly dedicated 50th Anniversary, Vietnam Memorial at the Vet Center by members of the post’s honor guard. This dedication was followed at 2 p.m. with the placement of a large wreath by Post 148 Honor Guard members on the Veteran’s Memorial that stands in front of the Windham High School.
