Local legislators to hold town hall meeting


Rep. Jessica Fay, D-Raymond, and Sen. Bill Diamond, D-Windham, will hold a public forum next week in Raymond. On Sat., May 6, they will be at the Raymond Public Safety Building, 1443 Roosevelt Trail, Raymond, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.


Lawmakers will make brief presentations and then answer questions from the audience.

“There is a lot going on in Augusta these days, and I look forward to a productive discussion with the people of Raymond to get their feedback on several issues,” said Sen. Diamond.
 “It is always a pleasure to speak directly with the folks in my community, and it will be an honor to do so with Rep. Fay.”

“I always look forward to talking with folks in my district,” said Fay. “This will be a good opportunity to meet with them and listen to their concerns.”

Sen. Diamond is serving his third term in the Maine Senate, representing Windham, Raymond, Casco, Standish, Baldwin and Frye Island. He serves on the Government Oversight Committee and the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee.

Fay is serving her first term in the Maine Legislature and represents part of Casco, part of Poland and part of Raymond.  She serves on the Legislature’s Environment and Natural Resources Committee.
