Warm Winterfest 2018 with Indoor Beach Party by Lorraine Glowczak

Ol’ Man Winter is testing the strength of Mainers with the harsh cold snap and blizzard this past week. For those who need a break from the frigid weather, there will be no better place to spend a Saturday evening than the Indoor Beach Party – Winterfest 2018.

The Indoor Beach Party will be held at the Windham Middle School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on
Saturday, January 6; which makes this the third annual Windham Parks and Recreation partnership with the Windham PTA Family Event. 

Many activities will be planned for the evening to include a photo contest kick-off, Windham PTA Crock Pot Cook-Off (with donations to benefit the PTA Philanthropic Grants) along with plenty of delicious beach party grub to eat. 

There will also be many great giveaways to include, but not limited to, the following:

Music will be provided by Flamin’ Raymin and Sizzlin’ Suzzin. 

“Escape the deep freeze and head for ‘the beach’!” stated Linda Brooks, Director of Windham Parks and Recreation. With all the music, food and fun, it will be a great way to forget the cold for a while.
