Rosemary J. Townsend of 168 Main Street, Windham was honored at her 90th birthday party, Saturday, August 10th at the South Windham Community Fellowship Hall by friends and family.
State Legislator, Dr. Jane Pringle presented a Legislative Sentiment on behalf of the Windham Legislative Delegation, with former State Representative Mark Bryant.
Townsend was born in 1923 to Patrick and Elizabeth Lally, who had 10 children in all. She grew up around Gorham Corner. She has three children and four stepsons, eight grand children, seven great-grand children and five great-great-grandchildren. She was a beautician in Portland. She loves to play cards with her sister and others at Franklin Towers in Portland. She is a faithful follower of the Boston Red Sox (60 yrs.), the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics. She is also a democrat and catholic.
