Raymond Fire Rescue Department offers a day in the life experience

The Raymond Fire Rescue Department will hold an introduction to the life of a firefighter/EMS provider at Raymond Fire Rescue Department from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the public safety building, 1443 Roosevelt Trail.

“Our objective is to inform and educate our citizens and officials to the mission of the RFRD and the challenges we face to achieve our goals! The morning will be set similar to an extremely condensed fire academy for new members. Please join us to learn more about the RFRD its members and our commitment to the Town of Raymond!” Chief Bruce Tupper said.

Participants will witness a cardiac arrest call, see the Jaws of Life in action, learn what it takes to become a member and of course, see the apparatus and equipment and understand what they do.  Morning snacks and lunch will be provided.

Please RSVP to Chief Bruce Tupper at bruce.tupper@raymondmaine.org or call RFRD at 655-1187 no later than October 10, 2016 so that we may plan events and food accordingly.
