Middle School held their first ever Carnival of Clubs at the middle school on
Friday, April 26. The entire event was run by the student council but organized
so all the school’s clubs would have a booth and a fun way to engage students.
Each
club had a booth run by students. The Be the Influence program had several
dodgeball games, the STEM club provided a hoverboard for students to ride up
and down the gym floor and the library had Book Jeopardy. Eliza Adams’ grade 7
health class was learning about the dangers of vaping and had ‘Escape the Vape’
escape rooms. The PTA assisted with food.
The
overall message of the carnival which advertised ‘something for everyone,’ was
fun and a great accomplishment organized by the middle school students. “This
is an inaugural event and none of us have done this before. It was all designed
by the students and I would say it was pretty successful,” commented Eliza
Adams.
