Last week was supposed to be the awards
night for the Windham PTAs Reflection Contest held this past fall. Mother
Nature had other ideas and the event was cancelled and a reschedule date is
unlikely.
However, there is amazing news from
Chelsea Sperry, the Reflections coordinator. “On behalf of the PTA, we are
thrilled to announce that out of five first place local Reflections winners
that were sent to the State Competition, Windham has three state winners
advancing to Nationals!”
The following works will be judged at
the national competition this spring.
Evan Gilheany won first place in the
visual arts division for grades 3 to 5. Aiden Day, won first place in the
photography division for grades 6 to 8, and Gardner Reed, won first place in
the photography division for grades 9 through 12.
“We are so proud of our Windham
students! If you see these kids in
school please give them a big high five for representing our community,” said
Sperry.
