“Cheers for Ten Years” 10th annual Triple B a success!


The 10th Annual Triple B ~ Boots, Band and BBQ to benefit Riding To The Top Therapeutic Riding Center (RTT) held on Saturday, October 14 was a success for the center’s riders, horses and programs netting over $165,000 this year.

Over 350 guests enjoyed DennyMike’s delicious barbeque and dancing to the live music of the band, Under The Covers. 99.9 The Wolf’s Michelle Taylor emceed, and teacher Rebecca Platz shared her experiences and her students’ successes at RTT. Auctioneer, Elizabeth Holmstrom led the event’s unique mission based auction which included two matches of $50 donations (up to $2500) by Modern Woodmen of America and anonymous donor.

To transform the arena for the party with a purpose, IDEXX employees and New Balance employees helped with set up and post event “take-down”. During the event, the Saint Joseph’s College baseball team helped with parking, food service, the auction and recycling efforts. In total, volunteers contributed well over 750 hours working on the Triple B.

In 10 years the Triple B has raised over $950,000 in support of RTT’s riders, horses and programs. According to Sarah Bronson the Triple B is the center’s largest fundraising event of the year and proceeds fund nearly a quarter of the center’s annual expense.

Founded in 1993, Riding To The Top Therapeutic Riding Center (RTT) helps people with disabilities reach their highest potential through the healing power of horses.  RTT is a PATH Intl.
