Gracie Gym Maine competes at Boston Summer International Open Jiu-Jitsu Championships

Gracie Gym Maine, a premier martial arts academy in Windham specializing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, turned in a dazzling performance at the Boston Summer International Open Jiu-Jitsu Championships on Sept. 13 and 14 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Participants from Gracie Gym Maine displayed immense dedication, skill, and discipline, bringing home experience and participation medals from the event. These victories were achieved by competitors ranging in age from 6 to 50 and spanning across various expertise levels from white belt to black belt rank.

A total of 12 Gracie Gym Maine students competed at Boston Summer International Open with nine of them competing at an IBJJF tournament for the first time and they returned to Windham with 14 medals including nine gold medals, one silver medal, and four bronze medals.

Gracie Gym Maine members showcased their extensive training and commitment to martial arts, reflecting the high-quality instruction and supportive community found at their Windham facility while family and friends cheered them on at the event which was held at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston.

The head instructor Gracie Gym Maine, Vinicius Carvalho Garcia, also competed in multiple categories at the Boston Summer International Open Jiu-Jitsu Championships on Sept. 21, winning double gold first-place medals in the Master 1 division.
