Gambo Car-Top Boat Launch

On Tuesday, October 17 from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sappi North America, a leading producer and
supplier of diversified paper and packaging products, held a ribbon cutting ceremony at the
recently completed Gambo Car-Top Boat Launch at the Windham Youth Soccer Fields, 43
Gambo Road in Windham.

As part of the Gambo Dam Project and FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission)
Licensing Agreement, Sappi undertook the development of a public space for hand carry boats, portage, and parking at Gambo Field in Windham. Sappi partnered with the Windham Youth Soccer Association to secure the use of the land, while Shaw Earthworks and DM Roma Consulting Engineers assisted with the development of the project. The project took approximately one month to complete, and the site is now open to public recreation.

The completion of the Gambo Car-Top Boat Launch follows Sappi’s investment in other
community access points including the recreation areas at the Eel Weir, Dundee, Little Falls,
and Mallison Falls dams.
