This is the Post’s second collaboration with the WISR; the event was proposed on behalf of our American Legion Field-Allen Post 148 to the WISR’s Training/Range Operations Manager, Bill Keith. Keith accepted and the collaboration was formed.
The goal is to provide all area veterans to come together for social opportunities and to be introduced to the WISR and American Legion Post.
There will be tables with information available on the following organizations and individuals:
· American Legion Field-Allen Post 148.
· Windham Indoor Shooting Range (WISR).
· Anthony Webster representing the Purple Heart Association and other veteran-assist and recreational programs.
· Jeff Cook, Field-Allen Post 148 1st Vice Commander and membership Chairman.
· And many other veteran support groups.
The range fee will be covered, but individuals are encouraged to bring and fire their own weapons and provide their own ammunition. Individuals can also try one of the new AR-15 weapons with the first 20 round magazine for free. There may be a charge for additional 20 round clips.
Light refreshments will be available and will include water, coffee and donuts.
