Modern Woodmen members work together to identify local needs, volunteer and make an impact in communities nationwide. Most recently, the Windham branch donated $1,500 to Camp Sunshine as a result of the Watermelon Festival fundraiser matching fund project.
The also award John Gregoire of Windham with the Hometown Hero Award.
Gregoire, who has ALS, received the award for his
contribution to the community with his non-profit organization, Hope-JG
Foundation. The organization is dedicated to help families living with ALS and
other neuromuscular diseases to live life fully by building a world class
ALS/MS residence in Maine.
